WaterHeaterNews.ca exists for a simple reason: the companies that replace Canada's water heaters deserve clear, dated information about the rules and programs that affect their sales, and most of that information is scattered across utility pages, government guidance and technical memos. We gather it, check it against the original source and explain it in plain language. Then, for contractors who want help, we turn the same facts into marketing.
The company
The short answer: a newsroom and marketing service in a Canadian consulting group.
WaterHeaterNews.ca is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. It is a Canadian group with its headquarters in Vancouver, BC, and its clients are spread across Canada. Ali Sedighi's own consulting company, Sedighi.ca, covers growth, marketing and technology work, and the brands under it include HVAC.Agency (this site's parent agency), HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca. Its sister firm, SAZ.ca, stands for Strategy & Acceleration Zone; this Canadian practice advises on strategy, AI and revenue acceleration, and Ali Sedighi is its Founder & Managing Partner.
Our marketing plans and pricing come from our parent agency, HVAC.Agency. Ontario clients may also work with HVAC.Digital.
Our positioning
The short answer: we report and market; we never install.
WaterHeaterNews.ca is a digital marketing and business consulting service for water heater, plumbing and HVAC contractors in Canada. We are not a contractor. We do not install, repair, service, rent or sell water heaters or any other equipment, and we do not give legal, engineering or code-compliance advice. When a story touches those areas, we link the regulator or program administrator and suggest readers confirm with them.

How the newsroom works
The short answer: primary sources, real dates and labelled analysis.
- We start from the source. A story is built on a government page, regulator statement, program terms or official memo that we have loaded and read.
- We date it honestly. News stories carry the source's own date. Explainers carry the date we checked.
- We separate analysis. Our view goes under a heading that says "Analysis", and it never adds facts the source does not support.
- We leave out what we cannot verify. If a rebate or rule cannot be confirmed on an official page, it does not appear as fact.
- We update. When a program changes, we revise the page and its "updated" date.
The current stories are in the newsroom.
How we work with contractors
The short answer: a short audit, a written plan and monthly reporting.
Most engagements start with the 7-day free trial: a marketing audit, website performance check, SEO analysis and competitor benchmarking, with no credit card required. From there we recommend a plan that fits your capacity and market, using one or more of our services. You own your website, Google Business Profile and ad accounts, and there is no lock-in. Prices are on the pricing page.
We work with clients across Canada from Vancouver, meeting by video call or in person, and by phone, text and email. We do not have regional offices.
What we will not do
The short answer: invent facts, write reviews or promise results.
We do not write client quotes or reviews, publish invented statistics, or promise rankings or lead numbers. Our results page shows real outcomes from named clients in our HVAC work, each linked so you can check them, and we are clear that past results do not predict yours. If you have questions about how we work, see the FAQ or contact us by call, text or email.
